This option is provided to add either a E85 or Flex Fuel Tune for Hellcats, Redeyes, Demons, Trackhawks, TRX’s and 6.2 Durango’s. $250
To utilize this option a remote tune must have been previously purchased for pump gas (gasoline).
This option requires that the 93 octane tune be properly dialed in. This option is available to provide either a separate E85 tune or a “Flex Fuel OS” tune. If the choice is a separate E85 tune please ignore the following information concerning the Flex Fuel OS. If choosing the Flex Fuel OS option the final product will be an “inferred” Flex Fuel tune. Please note that although this tuning option is commonly referred to as “Flex Fuel” tuning it is actually tuning based on “inferred” ethanol content using the HPtuners Flex Fuel OS. Since these vehicles are not equipped with an ethanol content sensor it is not possible to provide a true Flex Fuel tune. This “inferred” Flex Fuel tune when performed properly has fairly accurate calculations and performs well allowing daily driving with various mixtures of pump gas and ethanol. Since the ethanol content is “inferred” the calculations required can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes (and sometimes longer) to complete when changing gas/ethanol mixture. We do NOT recommend racing with a Flex Fuel tune since the calculations are “inferred” rather than derived from an actual ethanol sensor.
